Why Day After Day

A place where caregivers thrive

We know that great care starts with caregivers who feel supported, respected, and valued. Here’s what that looks like at DDHC.

You're treated like a professional

No micromanagement. We hire people we trust, then we trust them to do their job — with full backup whenever you need it.

Schedules that work for your life

Full-time, part-time, or flexible hours — we work around your availability so you can show up fully for clients.

Training that actually prepares you

Our orientation goes beyond the basics. You'll be ready for real situations — Alzheimer's care, fall prevention, safe mobility — before your first shift.

Room to grow

From caregiver to care coordinator — we promote from within and invest in people who want to build a career in home care.

Navigating home care for a loved one is a big decision. We’ve put together guides to help you make informed choices with confidence.

Do I need experience to apply?
Prior experience in home care or caregiving is a plus, but it’s not required. We look for compassion, reliability, and the right character. Our paid training program will prepare you for every aspect of the job before you work with a client.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification is preferred for some roles but not mandatory. We’ll work with you on other requirements during the hiring process.
From application to first shift, the typical timeline is 2–3 weeks. This includes your pre-hire form review, background check (2–5 business days), an interview, and orientation. We move as quickly as we can without cutting corners.
Both. We hire full-time, part-time, and flexible/per-diem caregivers depending on availability. We’ll work around your schedule to build a shift pattern that works for both you and your clients.
We serve clients in Indianapolis and surrounding communities in Indiana and Ohio. When you apply, let us know your location and we’ll match you with clients within a reasonable distance from your home.
We personally review every application and respond within 3–5 business days. If nothing fits right now, we’ll keep your file active and reach out when the right role opens up. You can also call us directly at (201) 554-2273.
